As we all know, low visitors traffic is a common problem faced by the new bloggers in the beginning of their blogging journey. There are many effective ways for us to generate more traffic to our blog. However, most of the time, it needs money. Usually, we do not wish to spend even a single cent when we are still new to blogosphere. I am the one who still do not wish to pay for getting more traffic. So, how we are going to attract blog traffic if we do not want to pay? As blogging guide, below are the 5 ways that I did to attract free blog traffic to my blog.
5 Ways to Attract Free Blog Traffic
1. Blog Commenting
Blog commenting is one of the most effective and easiest ways to drive the blog traffic without paying a single cent. Personally, this is my favourite method to use in promoting my blog as well as building the links. It is simple to be done. Firstly, we can go to search for some niche-related blogs and read through the articles. We can just simply leave a comment in that blog. If the comment is valuable and useful, it can help us to promote our blog and consequently attracting more blog traffic. Furthermore, this can help us to build up our personal branding too. We can show to others our range of expertise in our area and build up a reputation and trust with them. I used to read the Fetching Friday from Kikolani.com and Sunday Killer Link Love Post from myblog2day.com every week to get to know some good blogs to leave comment. Remember! Please do not spam others blog.
2. Link Exchange
Although there are some statements mentioned about the disadvantages of link exchange, I still believe that link exchange will benefit to both sites. We can try to approach the webmaster of the niche-related blog politely and ask for the link exchange. Once the agreement is reached, we can expect the traffic to the link exchanged site could potentially see our site link and visit our site too. In addition, link exchange can help us to build up the network with other webmasters in the blogosphere too.
3. Article Submission
Article submission is a great way for us to promote our blog by submitting our article and publish on the high traffic websites. I used to submit my article to EzineArticles.com. Without paying a single cent, my article will be published on a high traffic website and appear to the world. What I need to do is just include a link and a brief description about my blog in the article submitted. Yet, we can only get benefit from article submission if and only if our article is useful and unique as well as provide good knowledge to others.
I will categorize the guest posting as one of the way of article submission too. Since last week, I start to submit my guest posts to some famous blogs. I will expect to gain the benefit from the guest posts that I have submitted. Again, we can only get benefit from guest posting if and only if our article is useful and unique as well as provide good knowledge to others.
4. Offer Freebies to Our Readers
I think everyone love to get freebies, especially some useful freebies like ebook. If we can offer some freebies to our readers, I am sure that our blog traffic will be increased dramatically! I have tried this method since last week. I try to obtain the Private Label Right (PLR) license for some useful ebooks and distribute to my readers. Although I have not seen any significant result for this method on my blog, I believe that it can help me to build up a large list of subscribers. If the freebies are really interesting and entertaining, the first time visitors will sign up for our newsletter and recommend it to other people too. Consequently, this can attract free blog traffic.
5. Search Engine Optimization
In my opinion, search engine optimization (SEO) is the most basic thing that we need to know and do in blogging. People tend to use search engines like Google, Bing, Yahoo and so on to find what they are looking for. If our blog can be ranked high in search engine with the right keywords, we can get tons of traffic from there. We can do some simple SEO by ourselves without hiring others to do that. We can learn some simple SEO tips from others’ blog too. Maybe you would like to know how to use Google Adwords Keyword Tool for keyword research.
In conclusion, the 5 methods above that I used in my blog can really help me to boost up the traffic for free. You can do the same and get benefit of it too! What we need is the humbleness and determination. We must always learn from others and put some real efforts. Remember! Blogging is not a game with single day. We need to be patience to see the result of our effort.
